Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy forms part of the BusinessVault Terms of Service between you and CRUD.IT Solutions Inc., trading as BusinessVault.
1. Our refund position
BusinessVault subscriptions are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for change of mind, partial billing periods, unused time, unused features, plan downgrades, or failing to cancel before a renewal date. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 6).
2. Free trial
You can try BusinessVault free for 14 days. No payment is taken during the trial. Your paid subscription only starts when you choose a plan.
3. Monthly plans
Monthly plans are billed in advance and renew automatically each month. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month, and you keep access until then. No partial-month refunds are given.
4. Annual plans
Annual plans are billed in advance for 12 months at a discounted rate and renew automatically each year. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time, and your plan will then end at the end of the annual term. We do not refund unused months if you cancel early for any reason other than those in section 6. We will email you at least 30 days before your annual plan renews.
5. Plan and price changes
Upgrades take effect immediately, and we charge the pro-rated difference for the rest of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal. If we change our prices, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, and the new price only applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
6. When you are entitled to a refund
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us, and to a refund for the unused portion or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
We will also refund you in full if we charged you in error (for example, a duplicate charge). If we close your account for reasons that are not a breach of our Terms of Service by you, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid fees.
7. How to cancel or request a refund
You can cancel by emailing billing@businessvault.com.au from your account email address, or from the billing settings in your account where available. To request a refund under section 6, email billing@businessvault.com.au with your account email and a description of the issue. We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, so we can resolve it quickly. We may suspend an account while a chargeback is being investigated.
9. Data after cancellation
After your subscription ends, you can export your documents for 30 days. After that, we delete them in line with our Privacy Policy.
